[Event RP] - Snowstorm Company (p3)

noticing his smiled made tessas own heart skip a beat as she cleared her throat looking down before petting the ratatta again "so......um...." she thought aloud trying to come up with something

Vic's ears perked as he watched her. He waited a few moments to see if she was just taking a couple seconds trying to formulate her words, or if she wanted him to say something. Suddenly feeling a bit put on the spot, Vic spoke up. "So what are ya plannin on doing once the snow storm blows over?"

Tessa blinked and looked to him before thinking "probably hit the gym again... or go jogging or flying....." she sighed lookign down as she thought, she had a feeling once this storm blows over, everything that happened inside during it would be forgotten or pushed into the darkest corners of evryones minds

Vic slowly nodded in response, petting Russel's back some. "That sounds like a good plan, whichever one you go with - or all of them." He chuckled, wondering at the caboose of his train of thought if they would continue to have nice small moments like these, or if she was just paying attention to him because they were trapped inside together. Vic hoped not - he was enjoying spending a little more time with Tessa

She smiled a little before sighign "yeah, but...it does...get a bit lonely sometimes"

"Well...I'd offer to go flying with ya, but unless I somehow sprout wings, can't help there unfortunately." Vic chuckled a bit before continuing. "I like jogging though, we can go running together sometime if you'd like"

tessa chuckled at the flying part before smiling nodding "i'd llike that vic"

"Great!" He smiled up at her, glad to have a jogging buddy. "Although I do tend to go at dusk.." The raccoon mumbled

tessa heard the mumble and chuckled "thats fine, nothing wrong with a moonlit jog now and then"

tessa smiled and chuckled softly stroking the mouses head behind its ears

Vic chuckled, watching the smaller rodent's little nose rapidly sniffing at Tessa's fingertips. "Hey, when do you usually go to sleep? It's pretty late already for most folks, and I don't want to keep you up.."

"to be honest normally i would try to be asleep an hour ago, but...lately i havent been able to sleep much"

"That's not good - how come? Have you been feeling ok lately?" The raccoon tilted his head as he looked up at her, concern in his amber eyes

"yeah, its just, whenever ive been layign down my heart starts to race as does my mind but...i cant seem to figure out why"

Vic furrowed his eyebrows - thanks to Ryan constantly badgering him and his other adopted siblings over their health, the rodent had a decently good idea of what symptoms of things usually meant what, but he wasn't sure about Tessa's case, which worried him. "Has anybody been bothering you lately?"

she shook on her head "no, not really....maybe finding out that i have no chance with finn with him being in a relationship with that skitty"

The raccoon's heart sank into his gut in an odd sense of dejection. "Ah...yeah, that could be it." He said, forcing himself to stay the same no matter if he felt weird or rough or not. "Do you have sleeping medication you could take?"

she sighed shaking her head as she hugged her knees to her chest "no......what about you? you have trouble sleeping?"

Vic sat against the wall on the floor next to her. "Sometimes, I think too hard some nights and can't get to sleep until the late morning or even early afternoon. It used to be more often, but after I was taken in by my new family it stopped happening so much." He thought aloud

she smiled softly "so what was your old family like then?" she asked sitting by his side

It was the rodent's turn to bring his knees up to his chest, fingertips messing with the bristling fur of his tail. He didn't like talking about, or even thinking about, his birth family at this point, but she asked so... "Well... My dad was apparently part of the mafia back home in Aquacorde, Kalos, and when he screwed up something big with them, our mom fled, but didn't take any of us with her. Just...took most of the money we had and ran. My dad then basically used the rest of the money to drink himself to death eventually, but not before he took out how much he hated things on my siblings and I." He figured he'd leave out most of those details - they were a bit...grisly, and he wanted to spare her from those awful details. "After that we didn't have any money, our home foreclosed, and we lived off of scraps from others." Vic also figured that he'd leave out the details about the months of eating condiment packets and digging through restaurant garbage bins just to survive. "Eventually my oldest sister decided to finally contact our next relative, and the rest of us left got split up to different families. I ended up being taken in by her sister, and here I am."

Tessa listened and smiled a little "well, im glad they did, cos at least i got to meet you" she smiled trying to cheer him up

Vic blushed a little at her response, not expecting her to say that. "I...yeah, me too. They're really great and I appreciate them, even if I don't really show it." He sighed a bit at his lack of participation when he was back home recently, and everyone was chipper but himself. The raccoon gave the dragonfly a small but soft smile. "Thanks."

tessa smiled and schooched over a little bit so she was almost leaning on his side as she yawned a little bit her own tail moving over her lap slightly

The ginger felt himself blushing more as she moved a bit closer to himself. "Are you tired?" He asked, tail flicking a bit. "If you think you might be uncomfortable falling asleep or having bad dreams, you can crash in my room if you want." Vic offered, not entirely sure why he would suddenly make that jump of an offer, but he didn't want her having a hard time falling asleep again

tessa blinked blushing at the fact hed offer that before smiling a little nodding "if your sure its ok"

The raccoon beamed up at her, tail flicking a bit. "Sweet! And sure it's ok, I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't, right?" He chuckled, standing and offering his hand to help her up

tessa chuckled a bit and nodded taking his hand as she stood up before following him

Vic gently but firmly held her hand as he helped her up, noting how pleasantly warm her smooth skin was before letting go. "Do you need to bring anything with you?" He asked, smiling

"just a change of clothes"

"Ok." He nodded, leaning against the door frame as he waited for her to gather her things

such things were quickly gathered before she xaught up with im making sure to turn any lights off and lock her door before heading over to him ready to go, with a bag with some pjs and bathroom stuff
